Germán López & Yul Ballesteros

A duet is always an attractive format for musicians. Attractive because it allows to experience textures, sonorities, timbres, etc, with the risk involved in the simplicity of only two instruments.
In this case, timple and guitar merge to play a common language based on the repertoires of each instrument and the approach to international aesthetics common to the whole world.
The project shared by Yul Ballesteros and Germán López is based on pop music, not forgetting the fusion of folk and traditional Canarian music, and framed in the jazzistic language.

The Police, Bob Marley, Sting, Michael Jackson and a long etcetera are the cover letter and the own stamp of this duo, in which the timple unfolds with naturalness in a medium that is foreign to him by tradition, but somehow a territory of its own by the essence of the instrument and its desire to conquer new sonorous lands.

With two edited albums, “Somethin’Stupid” and “Don’t Worry Be Happy”, and a very attractive live performance, Yul Ballesteros and Germán López will continue with their experimental side combining rhythms and themes well known by all audiences that will surely delight anyone who comes to listen to them.

Highly recommended!!
